First Flight to Kourou Spaceport in French Guiana for the Spacecraft Transport Container

A spacecraft transport container, weighing 23 tons and measuring 13 meters in length, was designed by ALMA Sistemi and manufactured by Garofoli. The unit completed its first flight to the Kourou Spaceport in French Guiana, where it was used to transport the first SpaceBus NEO satellite.

The container was loaded into the cargo bay of a Russian Antonov aircraft, one of the few models capable of accommodating oversized aerospace components. The total transported mass, including the satellite, reached approximately 27 tons.

This operation represented an important contribution by ALMA Sistemi to the logistics of satellite integration and launch support within the European space industry.
