Over the years, Alma Sistemi has contributed to major European missions, including MetOp-SG and NEOSAT, developing equipment used in integration and qualification campaigns for Earth Observation and telecommunication payloads.

SCOEs and Checkout Systems

Alma Sistemi designs and delivers Special Check-Out Equipment (SCOEs) and complete checkout systems tailored for satellite subsystems and instruments. These solutions integrate dedicated hardware and software to validate functionality, verify performance, and guarantee compliance with mission requirements.

Examples include SCOEs for the Microwave Imager (MWI) on MetOp-SG and subsystems within NEOSAT batches, where Alma Sistemi’s turnkey systems streamlined payload integration and reduced testing bottlenecks.

Integration and Qualification Support

Alma Sistemi provides on-site engineering support during payload integration and qualification campaigns, working side by side with prime contractors and agencies. This ensures that EGSE systems are not only delivered but also fully adapted to mission-specific requirements.

In programmes like MetOp-2G, Alma Sistemi contributed to lifting, handling and test equipment that supported qualification activities throughout the supply chain.

RF Emulators and Interfaces

Our EGSE portfolio includes RF emulators and test interfaces that reproduce realistic communication environments and simulate payload conditions. These tools are essential for the verification of telecommunication, navigation and remote-sensing instruments, ensuring high-fidelity performance checks before launch.

Projects such as MetOp-SG ICI relied on Alma Sistemi’s RF SCOEs and emulation tools, designed for robustness, flexibility and full ECSS compatibility.
