Other Projets
Beyond its main RTD, MGSE, and EGSE activities, Alma Sistemi has also contributed to a wide range of European and national initiatives that strengthen its role as a trusted partner in the aerospace sector. These projects demonstrate the company’s ability to operate across different domains, from early mission concept studies to the development of advanced ground support systems and applied Earth Observation services.
Alma Sistemi has provided consultancy and technical expertise within the ESA General Studies Programme (GSP), supporting the definition of early-phase mission concepts. The company has contributed to Copernicus services and applications under the European Commission and ESA, developing applied solutions in the field of Earth Observation.
It has also played a role as subcontractor in flagship programmes such as ExoMars, where Alma Sistemi supported the design of MGSE equipment for payload handling and EGSE tools for instrument integration, and ARIEL (Atmospheric Remote-Sensing Infrared Exoplanet Large Survey), where the company contributed to ground support activities for spectrometer testing within ESA’s Cosmic Vision programme.
In addition, Alma Sistemi has been engaged by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) in feasibility and technology studies, offering consultancy and system-level analysis in the domains of Earth Observation and MGSE. Earlier contributions to the GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) initiative, the precursor of Copernicus, highlight the company’s long-standing involvement in European Earth monitoring frameworks, particularly in user requirement analysis and service definition.
Together, these collaborations confirm Alma Sistemi’s flexibility and credibility in projects led by international agencies, universities, and research bodies. Whether as a consultant, partner, or subcontractor, the company consistently delivers added value, integrating research outcomes with industrial capabilities to strengthen Europe’s space and defence ecosystem.
Looking ahead, Alma Sistemi remains committed to applying its expertise to next-generation missions, expanding its role in advanced aerospace engineering and reinforcing its contribution to Europe’s strategic autonomy in space.
